I'm new to ASUS products. I have no shortage of issues that mainly stem from Armoury Crate. I really wish ASUS would either make separate downloadable modules and stop pushing Armoury crate to people that don't want it or make the software function properly.
My issue this time comes in the form of AURA SYNC. My GPU about 35% of the time isn't detected and puts out rainbow puke or is just dark. Some times I have to do this song and dance.
- Close RAZER Synapse.
- Open the Windows "Services" application (you can press Win + R and type "services.msc" to access it).
- Locate the "ASUS AURA SYNC lighting service (LightingService.exe)" in the list of services.
- Right-click on it and select "Restart."
Other times I have to just uninstall and reinstall to get it to work right. Why can't we just set the lights and then be able to uninstall the software and it just stay the way we set it? I used MSI for years and yes their software isn't the best but it never this buggy.
Also, this past week. I had issues with the CPU running at 100% on a fresh install of windows after installing AC. Tried several resets eventually went in formatted the M.2 and after that it went to normal. Had after installing AC my RAZER peripherals glitching and not working correctly. Things like paused lighting or keys not working. Only happened after installing AC. One of the last annoying things that is currently happening is after starting AC in about 10 or so minutes my background goes black and I have to restart that service. Just annoying things I have never had to deal with before.
Now, you will say to me. Download SIGNAL and OPEN RGB and use HWMonitor. Well seems that SIGNALRGB and OPENRGB don't see the GPU for whatever reason so I had to install AC to get some kind of functionality or just not install anything go into bios and turn off AURA completely.

Latest version of windows I do nothing else but game on this PC. I do work on my LAPTOP provided by my work. Everything else on other PC since I mainly don't use windows as I have started my Linux journey. So, I do nothing on this but play games.
If anyone knows something I could try to just get my stuff working as intended, I would appreciate it. At this point I'm really starting to regret this build.
