Mine was an automatic update. It normally updates everything just fine, sadly not this time. I still havent found a solution. The laptop runs fine however, and there are no audio issues I can pinpoint that could cause this, or be a result of it either. I actually do like this laptop quite a lot, even though I had to get my fans replaced less than 6 months after purchase, it has exceeded my expectations in many ways. I haven't had any problems like this, so I am hoping a solution is provided before my ocd persuades me to take things further.
