Just updated to 6.1.13.0 last night and I wanted to provide some feedback on the UI of the new version.
My biggest problem is the new home screen for the app. It has less information, less buttons and less options. Sorry to say but I really do not like it.
Please can we have an option to restore the previous home page layout and "widgets" as well as having the CPU, GPU, FAN and MEMORY sections/widgets restored to their previous looks as well. Being able to rearrange these was also handy
Also I currently only have my Scar 17 SE laptop as the only compatible Asus device, so the new devices section on the bottom left of the home screen holds no value for me but takes up a huge chunk of space. The GPU operating mode toggles from the last version would be much better here for me.
Clicking the "system settings" button on the home screen is useful, but the horizontal menu that opens "system config, free up memory, GPU performance" etc the spacing of that menu is far too big causing the last 2 items to overflow into a 3 dot dropdown menu. I dont run Armoury crate maximised, it's always ran at most 2/3 of the screen width. This is not a tablet, the menu seems more like a touch friendly menu which is just using far too much space between the items (especially the smaller ones like "lighting")
This version also seems to be a little bit buggy / laggy
Clicking something first time seems to take a while, even just the system settings button, then randomly as well it appears to lag when clicking around the menus etc, My system is fairly idle while doing this so there shouldn't be any delays really.
Clicking "scenario profiles" appears to lock the app up for a while, it shows a loading screen which it sometimes sticks on, but once that's done it then hangs for a while on the select profile to edit screen, none of the interface works at this point. I can close the app, but the entire armoury crate interface stops working for a while, can't click anything except the main close button top right. It does eventually work if lefts for a while so it's obviously doing something in the background while loading and freezing. Once it does start working clicking a profile to edit then locks it up again.so its a choice of either waiting it out or closing the app and starting again. I should clarify that clicking the red X top right doesn't actually always work immediately while its hanging but it will let you press it / see the highlight. That's the only part of the interface that will work at this point.
Also on the home screen, memory (RAM) frequency shows up under CPU, it should probably show up under the MEMORY heading under the RAM entry.
Would also like to see a current Wattage output for both GPU and CPU added to the home screen info. As well as the Max TGP should update depending on the power plan chosen. Another thing I'd like to see is a GPU memory usage bar on the home screen too. We have the usage of the GPU cores but the memory usage would be handy too.
Next a criticism / suggestion about the customisable hotkeys... I really think this feature has been massively overlooked. The hotkeys keys (maybe specific to the scar 17se) perform fairly unique actions (volume, mic mute, fan mode and armoury crate) The only one that is double up is the fan mode which can be changed with FN + F5. so in reality there is only 1 customisable button for me. What would make this feature really handy is to add in a secondary switch key. Such as FN or CTRL so that you can keep the default button action but then press the button with FN or CTRL to trigger a secondary button option. This means you can truly have 5 customisable buttons (or however many hotkeys your device has) OR level it up a bit an allow multiple switch keys (CTRL, SHIFT, FN, ALT etc) then you could have numerous sets of hotkey setups. Obviously this would help Macro users too by allowing multiple macros to be assigned via the switch keys.
I do want to leave some positive feedback though, I like the separation in the left hand main menu and the categories. It works nicely. I also like the addition of the feature library to make it clear which additional features are available / installed
Anyway I would appreciate if any of this could be forwarded on to the relevant team for consideration 🙂 I apologise for the amount of negativity but I feel like Armoury crate (for those that use it) is a very big part of the system experience and this recent update unfortunately for me doesn't enhance this

Could not agree more. This update has made Armoury Crate less convenient for myself. They need to bring back customisation to the home screen. I myself do not connect ASUS devices to my g15 laptop. So having that section on the home screen is useless. Also changing Scenario Profiles used to be a lot easier. One click on the profile you wanted and it would change. Now you have to click on a separate tab, change the profile you are on AND THEN click "Apply & Save". Why make this whole process more painful than it needs to be.
PLEASE bring back or implement:
- Home screen customisation/widgets
- Make swapping profiles easier as it was before
- Please add the option to set the GPU mode when creating a Scenario Profile. As someone who uses a zephryus g15 laptop for gaming, general use, and school. Having the ability to set my laptop to ECO mode or even better adding it to a specific profile, would honestly make my life; a consumers life easier.
- Given the option to disable lighting effects for Scenario Profiles.
I hope the team over at ASUS in charge of this of this area do see these posts and consider our opinions. Thank you 🙂

This update completely ruined the pairing of my devices. Right now I’m on 5.9.14.0 and everything works fine but when I update to 6.1.13.0 it says I have no devices. I’m afraid to try updating again. I can’t use the aura creator for my rgb unless I do the update…

Hey how did you revert to older version? I updated to 6.1.13.0 and it's not letting me Edit Manual mode, can't make Profile for it at all.
So i went and uninstalled that one, but whichever Installer for older versions i found, they still install the latest version for some reason -.-

I didn't sadly, maybe some future update will fix it, but currently i changed to G-Helper, its like a lightweight ArmouryCrate. Works fine with that.
Tuesday
Try the steps from this post to get ArmouryCrate to uninstall and then install the old 5.9.9.0 version. This worked for me a few weeks ago.
