Armory Creator 5.7.3.0 update /windows update

2023/10/11, I got 3 updates from windows update. I also updated the BIOS then to ver 2802. One is a security update (KB5031901). Can it have anything to do with Armory update that I got on 2023/10/16. All the modules Armory then updated worked except one and it is FanXpert that gives an RPC call error. I have reinstalled Armory several times. I have to "re-register my products" again, I go to my ASUS profile page for each device. When then Armory starts up and I check for updates It only FanXpert it wants to update. If I don't click on that update, it seems to work. Those of you who are good at Windows, can you check if there is anything problems with these updates I got via windows update. If the security update changes the rights in any way so that Armory cannot update its files as it needs to. The rest of you who have Win10 or Win11 have you also received that update. When did you get it? Armoury has worked for me until Armory's latest update 3.2.9.1 which I received on 2023/10/16.

I can control the fans via the ROG RyujinII, but sometimes it comes up that the system is busy when I click on ROG RyujiII,  then I have to restart the computer and it works again.

No issues for now. It appear coincidence. since that same day both deployment where done. 

I did reinstall windows last night to test that specific issue and i can not duplica since is fine. 

Make sure you are using 2802 bios and and also check new drviers from oem website or forums.  I will check more on that later

I'm running Bios 2802. If I look at the update list Armory has, it wants to add back older drivers for some devices. Armory also wants to update drivers that are up to date. So it's a bit of a crunch. Haven't run through this update yet.

i use forum drivers only. but 600, 700, 700v2 has new drivers. updated. but chipset need to be updated. also.

Hi. Hello. Attaches a few lines from system and program log in Win11. Rog Ruyin II now tries several times to retrieve information before the software crashes and the screen goes black. Sees that the Prime/ROG Z690-A has received 2 more drivers for the chipset, these are not available for the Prime Z690-P Wifi. Can I install them on my motherboard too? Otherwise, the other devices work

Well, I have this, and I still don't have THE USELESS APPLICATION NOT WORKING AS IT SHOULD WORK.

I still think it has something to do with the rights. The installation program cannot acquire the rights it needs during the installation of FanXpert or files to be updated are exclusively locked by the system and therefore cannot be overwritten. When you start the installation / update, a Call RPC Error comes up after about 10sec, when you then hold the cursor on the warning triangle that is now on the update tab, it says that it is Error code 4171. I log in to the computer as a Net user Admin and tried to add rights where I think it haunts but can't get it right. Found in the windows system log that ROGLiveService.exe, version 2.2.5.0, crashes and also that the ASUS AURA SYNC lighting service terminated unexpectedly. I get a warning on the permission settings application specific does not grant the Local permission Activation for the COM server program, to the user NT instance\Local service SID (S-1-5-19) from address LocalHost (with LRPC) running in the application container Not available. Whether this has anything to do with Armory Crate going wrong, I don't know, the coders of the program will have to look into that. 

If I run the Armory Crate installation again without uninstalling, it starts up and works. I don't update or try to use FanXpert because then it fails again. I can control the fans via Rog Ruijyin II. I have also turned off Asus automatic updates in BIOS as well.

Today there was an update on the Z690-P WiFi and Rog RyujinII. Installed these separately and ignored the pending FanExpert update. Everything looked good the installations worked as they should. But now when I went into Rog RyujinII, it became a blank screen (black).  When the system sometimes gets busy, it is the Asus Framework process that cannot perform its operation and hangs. When I then go into Aura Sync, it doesn't find any devices. I have tried everything uninstall, install full pack, tried restore point, bios default, nothing has helped. Error RPC call, error 4171, (S-1001) has occurred. Found an Armory install from Sept last year but still it's the latest install that comes up. Nothing works. So now I have installed Win11 again. Let's see what happens now. What I've seen is that Asus spreads files everywhere on the disk. The files can be found under Program/Asus, Program Files X64/Asus, User/Appdata/Local/Asus. Here you will find various updates in folders. Someone needs to get a hold of this and organize the program structure. Seems like they sent out updates in a panic. Here in Sweden we call this the spaghetti syndrome, you don't know which thread to pull. A routine to restore to the previous update that worked is needed. Instead of updating individual devices, you probably need to make sure that it is a package with all devices that are updated at the same time.

Got 7 updates today with the same ver 4.1.0.8. (good) Now I can access all devices without getting error code or system busy. But the Rog Ruyin II 360 LCD screen remains black and then FanExpert AIO does not show pump rpm. Otherwise it seems to work for me.
