First and foremost I can't forgo the software because I have ASUS accessories whose drivers appear to be locked behind this software.
With that out of the way, I'll try to keep this brief. This morning Armory Crate threw a "Service Error" on launch out of nowhere and suggested uninstalling/reinstalling. I made zero changes to Windows or Armory Crate in ages, I have no idea why this happened but it did. So I uninstalled it, and have been in hell ever since.
Uninstalling went fine, reinstalling fails every time. Here is what I have tried:
Using official uninstall tool: never see errors when doing so
Restarting my PC: done this 100 times now
Disabling antivirus, firewalls, and VPNs
Reinstalling using official install tool: consistent and quick failure at the early "installing ROG Live Service" step, "Installation Failed" 501 error
Reinstalling using official "full package" install tool: takes aaages to unzip, reaches almost to the end, fails with 200_1168 error
Reinstalling using MyAsus, though this seems to just be the same official install tool
A full clean install of Windows 10: absolutely no difference. HOW?
For the love of god, someone, anyone, please help me. Why is this happening? How can I fix it? Also I can't post to the pinned thread because it is locked and its form can't even handle the gigantic elog file that the logtool creates.

Hello Shadowrend
So, if you did a fresh install of windows, this order works for me.
1) Install windows.
2) Install the chipset driver for your motherboard.
3) Update the graphics driver.
4) Install an audio driver if needed. I'm using the ROG Delta II which uses Armoury Crate, so no need for me to install an audio driver.
5) Update windows.
6) Install Armoury Crate 3.3.5.2 - Armoury Crate - Support

These are the steps I took, no dice. The installation fails no matter what. Noticed another user who is experiencing the same (though they posted in spanish). Here is their translated post.
I've tried installing Armory Create several times and it gives me a 501 error. I've uninstalled it with the tool and reinstalled it, but it still gives me the error. I've updated the BIOS. I don't know what else I can do to fix it. Can you help? Thanks.
I am beginning to suspect that this is an issue on ASUS' side.

How soon can I expect a program update? It's been down for a month and a half. The service keeps crashing, and no one's asking for a crash dump—I can provide a million of them at any time. The problem exists, and it needs to be solved. This requires engaging with customers, not just brushing it off like: "Uninstall everything, reinstall Windows, reinstall the program." Guys, I'm not reinstalling Windows just because your program isn't working properly. When can I expect a fix?

Check in Windows firewall "allowed apps", you may need to allow it.

Appreciate your reply! But as mentioned in my original post, already tried that
Disabling antivirus, firewalls, and VPNs

Ok, sorry about that.
I came across a video that may help.

All good!
Sadly that video doesn't do me much good. Seems to be based on a very old version of Armoury Crate and doesn't indicate where those files are. Also doesn't run into the same issue I am.

Ok, sorry to hear we're not making any headway.
I have a question:
Are you using a laptop, pre-built desktop or custom pc?
Please list the model or motherboard.
