When complaining about broken new versions of Armoury Crate, the response has always been turn off auto update setting in Microsoft store, to stay on a version that works. MS in their wisdom have now updated the MS store to only allow auto updates to be turned off temporarily, just like they do for windows update. It looks to be a gradual rollout, so not all may have it yet.
Discovered this when my Armoury Crate tried to update, failed and now is broken, again (as it always has for anything over ver 6.1). Hence why I stayed on an older version that was working.
Will Asus now stop ramming broken updates down our throats and give us the choice on when to update or not? So we can actually have a working setup vs being forced to update to something that does not work. Maybe like the option of a non MS store, of-line version of the app, or another better idea...
Anyway excuse me while I go off and do a system restore to try to get my fans etc working again. GRRRH!
