So there is the problem for the last half year......
My screen will bounce and flickers whenever i play some HD videos, Or playing games, Happens all the time during COD:Black OP2. Some times even gives me PC freeze or blue screen. back then,I was cross firing two asus 7970 DC2s I have some render problems like objects will have lines drawn over it. then i switch to ares2, at first it gives me errors like "AMD driver has stopped responding but has recovered.", That error went away as soon as i switched to the new RAM. now i'm having this flickering issue. I have tried any possible ways to identify the problem. But this thing is by now giving me thoughts to suicide.

My setups are as follows.

CPU:AMD FX8150 (Brand new purchased, 1 year old Good functioning) O.C at 4.4Ghz Multiplier 22, CPU ratio 200
Motherboard: Asus Crossair V Formular W/ Thunderbolt (Brand new purchased, 6 month old)
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3 DDR3 2133 (Brand New 2 days old) Running at 10-11-11-31 54 1.51V
Power Supply: Rosewill LIGHTNING 800W 80 PLUS GOLD (Purchased Brand New 1 year old)
Monitor: 27" Asus
HD: 1TB, Western Digital (Purchased Brand New 6 month old)
Operating System: Win 8 pro 64bit
I don't think other hardwares will matter in this case.

I have tried the following with no lucks:
-bought a new motherboard of the same type Formula V, And replaced 6 month ago. No luck
-brought a new set of Ram replaced the previous DDR3 2000 Kingston T1 3X2Gb last week. No luck
-Tried using a 1000W power supply, But not a 80 Gold Certified. Same problem, No luck
-Tried using a new HD of 1Tb, Reinstall the OS, Reinstalled Drivers..... NO luck
-Tried using new Beta drivers, or clean install OS then install stock Drivers....... NO luck
-Tried Running everything in AUTO in BIOS......NO luck
-Before Ares 2, I tried cross fire two of asus 7970 DC2s
-Single Asus 7970 DC2s..........No luck

What I have NOT tried:
-Install Win 7.
-Using a 80 gold certified 1000W
-Using a qualified vender RAM
-Crossair Formula V-Z motherboard
-CPU AMD FX8350 (Arriving tomorrow, See if it works)
-Another Graphic card.

Would Anyone please please please help me out. I don't think i have enough money to buy new parts to test them anymore.
Some body, Anybody, Please help me out here. ....

I can't help it but all the info points to a faulty driver issue. Previous driver remnants maybe? Conflicting registry entries or libraries?
I know it's tedious, but after all you already put so much effort into solving this, maybe reinstall OS just to make sure. Win 7 would be my choice.... no matter what the media says, I (still) don't trust Win 8.

Will continue to watch this thread, I am very curious.

Best of luck (and insight)

Thank you for the advice, I have reinstalled Win-8, installed only one driver clean. And it;s still the same problem. I still think it's something relating to the RAM or the MOtherboard. But i am gonna try install a win-7 on it today and see how it goes.

Hm... in which slots do you have the HD7970s installed? And which CF bridge are you using?

I installed at the first slot X16. the one closest to the CPU. And im not crossfiring it. It's a dual GPU card

Sorry, I missed the Ares II part... 🙂

So, when you're using a dual GPU card, you don't need to enable CF? Just my curiosity... as never had dual GPU cards...

Hi, That part I have no clue, It offers the options to enable it and i see no effect when i enable it or disable it.

The latest update, A clean win-7 install with clean driver install has no effect. the same problem exists.....I've been watching the hang over 3 trailer for almost 50 times just to test it.... LOL

Here's another thought: Some of the laptop guys have used a tool called DPC latency checker to see if there are delays in the Windows subsystem (either due to hardware OR software, doesn't matter). You might try that and see what it turns up. It won't necessarily finger a specific cause but if there are things you can enable/disable then you can do a pre/post and see if there is an improvement.

The latest update, I think I found the problem, tried the win 7 install, install only latest driver and only latest and profile. But still same issue.
Until I pop in a amd Hd 2000 series card. It seems now working fine with no flickering, I mean the graphic card only has 256 MB. It may not even able to render more than 40fps. Therefore the flickering could not even able to happen.
But by now that's the latest update. I'm gonna try the ares2 on a intel board later. Although I really don't wanna face the fact that the card might be broken.
Lets hope not, I don't even know how the return policy gonna be since there are only 1000 units and I'm pretty sure they r sold out now
