Water Cooled R9 290X vs Air Showdown Noise and Temperatures

Hello People!

The Radeon R9 290X: I have been running with it for a while now.
Earlier I did a YouTube movie about this GPU running on stock air cooler, posted in this thread:

http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?42868-User-Test-AMD-Radeon-R9-280X-Loud-I-have-put-it-to-th...

Much has been said about this GPU, people complaining about the Noise level when under load! The Fan rev's up to keep it within the temperature ranges that have been set.

I recorded sensor readings, Noise level, Frequency, Overclock, Temperatures amongst others. While playing games, running benchmark tests and all kinds of 24/7 “normal” stuff.

Did replace the stock fan with an EK full cover water block. Did all the tests again..

The video below contains parts of the tests I did with air and with water cooling. The results are pretty good!

As mentioned in the other thread: "remark @GPU: SILENCE, I CHILL YOU.. "

That should give a clue...

Check out the new video and tell me what you think:
