This is an disgrace for Asus, really guys you disappointed me totally, i was waiting like 2 months for 7970 DCII TOP to arrive where i live, i was happy as a 5 year old kid knowing that in few days the card will be mine, only to get to know (in last moment) that from like april this year, your DCII 7970 cards are being voltage locked!??? what if i bought the card? you understand how much pissed of i would be? i couldn't return the card, here in EU, we pay huge prices, and we got no replacement options like in USA, so imagine that please...

Are you guys serious? DCII non reference design, epic cooler, epic power delivery, and yet no voltage control? really? where are the best cards which i praised so much on other forums? and i recommended to all of my friends!? your DCII cards where the best on the market together with the ROG editions.

Even after 7950 DCII cooling issues fiasco you guys didn't learn the lesson? what card should i buy now knowing i'm huge DCII cards fan? what to do? where i live they get DC cards very rare, and now when they get them they are useless!!! this is so frustrating, please report back because you guys will be losing your loyal customers, there are already like 10 threads on different forums about this issues, and almost 3 months passed and yet no offcial answer from Asus? come on guys! i'm really big fan of your cards, please unlock the voltage for us and unleash the full power of this amazing beasts of cards!

Marshall is the best guy here so hopefully he can help you out with this.. give him a chance... however yet again ASUS still havent not done anything about the 6 faulty cards i got from them in a row except charge me more every time to Replace it. ASUS ( except marshall ) are useless and have no care for customers any more.. They wont make any contact with you except please take it back to your retailer...... who tells me i dont know anything..... This is anther reason i guess im glad i got away from ASUS 7970 DCII so many issues and not 1 answer or word from ASUS. The message to admins thread was better... ASUS should really look at this cause i think they are making a reallllly bad name for them selfs..... My youtube video i made with my 7970 has got so many questions being asked about why this card does artifacts and blue screens after 12.6 drivers.... So lets get this right 12.1/12.2/12.3/12.4/12.5 and now 12.6 and even 12.7 BETA ALLLLLLLL HAVE THE BLUE SCREEN ERROR ON THIS CARD WTF ASUS SORT YOUR CRAP these cards dont work and yet i cant believe how many people are still having issues with is and yet ASUS can even read there own ROG foums. Im glad i change to the 680... first card NO issue what so ever and worked great for months now... unless the 7970 which i got 6 months ago and ALL 6 were FAULTY. Im just more shocked NO company in the world could get away with that but ASUS do cause they just have to ignore you.... TO be honest id just like a message from ASUS saying theyunderstand.... but you can even get a word from them.... ASUS Customer care / service = 0, was intending to build a new RoG machine for me and my mate but after all this i am no longer doing this cause i have no Faith in ASUS products any more. HUGE company let down. and im also looking to more legal action to ASUS within NZ for charging me for replacements/ also not meeting what its advertiser to do with eyefinty and Overclock.... Also the GPU Tweak sold with the card is faulty software has to be updated or shows incorrect VRM temps... AS i said wish someone had got back to me from the first or 2nd or 3rd or 4th or 5th or even 6th card but no.. lol and now this ahh great my case is getting bigger at this rate

Such a shame really, imho this are the best cards ever made quality wise, but i guess Asus did bad job in testing procedure, and there are issues now, many issues, with DVI adapters, voltage locking, BSOD's etc...again is such a shame because the only high end DC II card where i live is 7970 which is voltage locked, i wanted this card so bad 😞

The moderators here are volunteers. We don't have any information that isn't already public.

If the admin that already replied doesn't know the answer then there isn't anyone on this forum that knows.

Perhaps I need to point out that this is a user discussion forum. It is not an official communication channel so there are less than a handful of ASUS people who stop by randomly when they have time. I think people who need an official response would do better via support or one of the regional Facebook pages.

LOL done that too mate...

also went onto the youtube channel... IF you contact there support they adivse to you take it back to the retailed which is half of somepeople problem. I dont think u understand ASUS do not REPLY. Why would u volunteer to mod there forum and get NOTHING from it ? and are you saying that theres NO WAY you can even send a message to ASUS to look into this...... Shows how much they care about customers when they dont bother to check there RoG forums to help our there customers who spend the most on there products.

ASUS cant even make just ONE reply......

I volunteered because I'm here a lot anyway and we've had severe problems with spam. What I get in return is a cleaner forum for myself and others to discuss the ASUS products we own. I like being part of the solution and I like that ASUS trusts me to make their user forum a better place.

I do understand that ASUS may not have replied to anyone through those other methods and that sucks. 😞 I'm just stating that those are the official communication methods (for better or worse) whereas this is primarily a user forum.

As to a reply, yes Richard did reply on the first page. It's unfortunate that he didn't have a solution for you guys and I'm sure he wishes that he had more information but he *did* reply. I will send him a private message (the same as anyone can, no super powers involved) and see if he knows anything he didn't know last week but he isn't on the engineering team so who knows?
