To RMA or not to RMA that is the question......

As title says guys, got a new(2 week old) 7970 Matrix Platinum. I swapped form 6950's crossfire, wanted a single card. Was very pleased with the card at first, then I noticed artifacts starting to appear in BF4(latest AMD beta driver).

I have installed the latest GPU Tweak, set the fans manually to 60 plays BF4 for a few hours then bang artifacts and now a blank screen freeze, restart will only clear it. Its even worse when I play Assetto Corsa freezes after about an hour.

Then I read a post by another user to lower memory settings from 6600 to 6000 and memory voltage from 1600 to 1520. The card now runs without any problems at all. So is this a common memory issue with these cards? Has the memory been set to high buy Asus?

Anyway I have asked Overclcockers Uk for a RMA but I'm not sure if I want to keep it or send it back. The problem is perhaps in the future if I try to sell the card the next user will say its defective....

Any advise appreciated...

*edit* its now crashing with Assetto Corsa with lowered memory settings, will test with BF4 now if it happens there then back it goes......

RMA the card and get your money back. Go for a 290X rather.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.
