Hi Folks,
I recently swapped out my three EVGA watercooled GTX-980 SC's for a single Vega 64 (I was fed up with Nvidia's awful driver handling of triple wide / extended desktop configuration)
All in all I'm happy with the new card, in most cases the performance is on par with the previous three cards, but I'm suffering really terrible coil whine in certain scenarios.
If a game is minimised, or on the menus of some games (PUBG) the whine is excruciatingly loud. - the cat leaves the room - in other games it whines and hums a bit and is the loudest part of my PC, but is almost liveable with.
I haver a EK waterblock for it currently unfitted) and don't want to do anything that might invalidate the warranty until I'm 100% confident in it.
This single card is much louder than all three GTX 980s in an otherwise quiet PC. The power supply is a Corsair AX1200, and is more than man for the job.
Has anyone else suffered this?
