HEllo i just upgraded from an 7870 to the R9280X-DC2T-3GD5

I followed these steps for drivers

1. Ran Catalyst control center from C:/ AMD and did a custom uninstall. Removed all
2. Restarted computer
3. Ran Driver Fusion and deleted everything from AMD
4. Restarted computer
5. Installed latest 13.12 R9 drivers from AMD site

I get artifacts (shapes, lines , squares) flashing everywhere in screen , when in Chrome, in Dota 2 and Planetside 2. Haven't tested in more games , but I guess it will be the same.
The card will need a replacement? I have a Corsair CX600 , AMD FX 8350, Corsair Vengeance 2x4gb 1600 mhz
I read somewhere about GPU bios update. I ran the GPU ASUS TWEAK software that came in with the CD, and i tried to update something but i got a message ROM programming fail. But then it seemed to installed the update and forced me to restart the computer.
But still i get artifacts.
What do you suggest?

€ 104.94 is a half of the card price, wasn't there anything cheaper?

Here in Brazil? absolutely not. 😞 But it was an investment that I'd do independently of the card issues since I already have a full custom watercooling setup. 🙂

can anyone give links to Bios1-3006.ROM and 3004 version? my card crashes every minute, i dont know maybe something damaged. Asus direct CUII top. links are down. the only bios worked normaly, ill try to repair with this.

Hi everyone.
Guys, is it possible to change memory voltage? People talk that dc2t has 1,6 as default. May be main issue is related with mems overheat.

You can raise the voltage with ROG Connect ports but this will not help. Lowering voltage should give results, but so far there's no known way to do that.

hi guys

recently I've noticed some artifacts while using my PC with this card
but it's weird because I only have them while browsing internet - nothing in games
tested it also with furmark and nothing came up
does that mean I shouldn't be worried or is it even worse when artifacts are showing up on web-brosing /low usage of GPU stuff ?

Try with Assassin's Creed Unity or Ryse on best settings, as they are using 3GB of VRAM. Also try 3DMark's second graphics test in a loop with best settings for 10-20 minutes.

I don;t have these games
but I have Metro 2033 and run it on max setting - it's very demanding game - and no artifacts at all

From my experience Metro games do not burn card enough to make the artifacts appear (except the cases when they've appeared with other game within current system boot session), maybe because of limited vram usage - they do not write a lot to vram like ACU, which not only loads all 3GB of vram, but also swapps a lot betweem system ram and vram, producing good pressure of vram write operations.

Hello

I bought an ASUS R9 280x direct cu ii top past year, I don't have any problem with it, but after one year the card stop works, i rma it and received r9 280x direct cu ii top v2, since that day i have problems, first flickering but i don't have it now, i don't have artifacts but after 20-30 minutes of play my computer restart or stop and see vertical lines of any color regular black or purple, or last color of videogame, i use reset button and all comes normal, there are any way to ask asus rma for a nvidia gpu? i'm very disappointed with amd and asus, i don't want to rma it for another r9 280x because i did read all thread and there is high likely to obtain a damaged card and my rma cost about 60 USD i'm from another country.
