R9 280x DirectCU II Top Artifacts!!

HEllo i just upgraded from an 7870 to the R9280X-DC2T-3GD5

I followed these steps for drivers

1. Ran Catalyst control center from C:/ AMD and did a custom uninstall. Removed all
2. Restarted computer
3. Ran Driver Fusion and deleted everything from AMD
4. Restarted computer
5. Installed latest 13.12 R9 drivers from AMD site

I get artifacts (shapes, lines , squares) flashing everywhere in screen , when in Chrome, in Dota 2 and Planetside 2. Haven't tested in more games , but I guess it will be the same.
The card will need a replacement? I have a Corsair CX600 , AMD FX 8350, Corsair Vengeance 2x4gb 1600 mhz
I read somewhere about GPU bios update. I ran the GPU ASUS TWEAK software that came in with the CD, and i tried to update something but i got a message ROM programming fail. But then it seemed to installed the update and forced me to restart the computer.
But still i get artifacts.
What do you suggest?

Do any of these bios give 1.5v VRAM?

I have a kraken G10 on mine + VRAM heatsinks & 2 side fans; GPU/VRM ~ 50'c under load, yet unless I downclock ram I get artifacts. I tried the top bios but its still 1.6v vram @ 1500Mhz stock speed.

Can we please get someone in ASUS to work this matter finally?

I am so pi**ed off because of this. With default clocks of 1600MHz i have crashes and artifacts.

If I manually downlock to 1500MHz it's fine. If I RMA - they return back. I cannot sell - nothing.

I tried 1500MHz RAM bioses but none work on mine TOP version (with original 15.41 bios) - it doesn't post.

If I try to mod bios- then I break GOP support of course.

Almost a year that I'm complaining !!!

Here the last email, in a list of about 30 :

This is a freaking joke, since day ONE I ask for RMA.

So ASUS trick :

push back RMA until out of warranty .
Surprise for them, where I live, the date of the first email is the date that they shall use for warranty issue. it's the law !


I put my bad reviews on newegg, amazon, ncix.

Where else???? I want to be sure that nobody get stuck with them just like me .

I'm not a difficult customer, but when they send me ''automated'' email, that pissed me off, specially for a 500$ card.

And not a difficult customer, I don't use my PC often, I just want a reliable card, that's it.

But I have about 30 emails with tons of discussion about this. ( I can forward it to you if you wish)
With my test/specs/etc.

It's card problem , just like reddit/ computer seller / and the 20 card my office returned /youtube / the www!

ASUS know the issue... 100% sure.

Getting artifacts after 1-2 hours of gameplay when GPU temperature rises in witcher 3 ........

I have the same card and same problem as everyone else. I was able to make it manageable after tweaking the voltage, power target, etc in ASUS GPU Tweak, so after I returned the first card to Newegg I didn't worry about it although my PC froze occasionally after spitting out artifacts.

After I upgraded to Windows 10 everything came back tenfold. My PC was freezing any time I would open a game for about 5 minutes. I tried 3-4 different games and 5-6 different driver version. I called ASUS and they claimed there was no Windows 10 support for the card. So I was done with it... I tried to get them to let me RMA the card and replace it with a newer card and I would pay the difference...

After 5 hours on hold with ASUS over the past 5 days and not receiving call backs after requesting them 3 times, I am done with ASUS. I have lost my faith in them. What happened to this company???? They used to be top of the line. Now they keep you on hold forever, don't help resolve your problem, make you stuck with a crappy/defective product, and claim on hold that they have the "Best In Class Warranty Services".

This is just downright criminal. I don't understand how they are able to get away with just stealing out money like that. I have lost respect for this company completely. I have never experienced customer service this bad in my life.
