Yeah they were out of stock within an hour or so. On another note, I bought two r9 290 reference versions for $299 each open box. I'm hoping they didn't get abused by mining for too long. Guess I will find out when the cards and my new 1440p monitor come today lol.

Just an update - the two r9 290's gave constant bsod's and driver crashes. I was able to return them to Newegg and used my store credit to build a system for my girlfriend. Gave her the r9 270x I had been using and bought myself an r9 280. The r9 280 is pretty terrible. It's a stable card with no bsod's, but the performance is a joke, sometimes lower than the 270x in benchmarks.
