How to crossfire with this card.

Just brought this card and want to know is it able to crossfire? there was no crossfire cable supplied and i cant see any connection for crossfire? has the way crossfire works changed since my old hd 6900?

It did change indeed, CF on that card is possible with any R9 290 / 290X model but for best performance / compatibility better go with 2 identical models.

The newer Motherboards now have links between cards that do not use a bridge link cable/ribbon.

New cards communicate with each other over the PCI_E bus.

You may conceivably use old and new cards together, or not. It depends if the new Motherboards accept both types of card/links.
