GPU Dilemma

Hi there,

I've been putting some investigation into which GPU to pick for my new PC.
I'm currently running on an Sapphire HD 7750.

Because I've always had good experiences with Sapphire, I'd prefer to stick with this vendor.

Now, as I've saved up quite some money to buy myself a nice gpu, I can't decide which GPU I want.
In all cases, I intend to use crossfire.

Now, these are the GPU's I've been wondering about.

- Sapphire HD 7970 3GB Vapor-X Ghz Edition - The first option that came to mind, hearing a lot of good things about this one.
- Sapphire HD 7990 - Amazing card, being dual-GPU and all, but I've been hearing alot about overheating issues.
- Sapphire HD 9970(?) - The rumoured card to be announced on the 25th of september.

As the 9970 isn't out yet, is it worth waiting for?
Ofcourse, it doesn't have to be a gpu in that list, any other ideas are welcome.

My setup:
Case: Antec P193 v3
CPU: AMD FX 8350
Cooler: Zalman CNPS12x
MoBo: Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z
PSU: OCZ ZX 1250W
RAM: Kingston HyperX KHX1866C9D3K2/8GX (* 2, totalling 16gb ram over 4 units)

Yours sincerely,

Yes it is worth waiting for 9970 (and it is not a romour, it will be released in Oct). But keep in mind, that Amd will use a new naming for their cards: http://www.techpowerup.com/190428/next-generation-amd-radeon-series-nomenclature-detailed.html

I guess, it all depends on your budget... - but I still would wait couple more weeks to see what AMD comes up with...

Budget isn't the problem, my patience is 😉
