Extreme Overheat!! Matrix P R9 280X. Please help!

I plugged my new Asus Matrix R9 280x P Gfx card in and did some tests with a excitement to see how the 3-slot cooling system works but i was just disappointing. I did PCMark11 first and the card hit 100*C Max then I did another gaming test with Soldier Front 2 (High preset) and the card also hit 100*C. Idle temp is 42*C.

What did i do wrong? or It is just about the card.

I haven't tweaked anything or tried to OC yet. So please help!!

While underloading, i can see two fan are running at its 100% speed which is around 3200 rpm according to Gpu tweak. And once two fans kick in, it's super noisy

Something is not right with your card, it shouldn't hit 70-75 degrees

Sorry for the delay, I RMAed the card and ordered Asus R9 280X instead. Read numerous of reviews about these two card and i saw there is just a small improvement in term of OC'ing of the MATRIX version over the DCUII Top.

anyway, these are some SS of ASUS MATRIX R9280X

This is the default setting and the computer is idle
