ASUS R9 290x DirectCU II Crossfire (x2) -- 1000W Power Supply?

I've been planning to grab two of these cards given that they are released near the original R9 290x prices. (You know, the prices before miners caused them to explode...)

With that in mind, will a 1000W power supply (EVGA Supernova) keep these bad boys satiated? How about three?

Here's the rest of my system:

FX-8350 @ 4.5GHz
16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 (1866)
2x Samsung SSD
ASUS Crosshair Formula-Z Mobo

I´m running two 7970 crossfire with a Corsair TX-850 no problem... Battlefield 4 mostly Ultra (some Highs and ambient occlusion on SSAO), three monitors 5760*1080, 4 Case fans 🙂 1000W should be more than enough for 2 R9290X wich, I think, power consumption should be pretty much the same as a 7970 (R9 280 right?).

For TriFire 1000W will probably do the same... 🙂

I actually made a mistake when I was reading the recent reviews with regard to the amount of Wattage these cards require that led to this thread: I saw that an average system was running around ~450W with one card, but I read it as ONE CARD required ~450W. I thought that was insane, but I had heard these cards* were using much more power on average than the GTX 780's, and I was tad confused. All clear now, though!

Appologice in advance for hijacking your thread like this. I'm also doing 2-3 of theese cards and im curious to know what brand memory is used for theese cards, elpidia, samsung or anything else?

If i buy them all at the same time i guess its high chance i get them from the same manufacturing batch with the same brand, but how much of a diffrence would it make to get diffrent brands?
