Hey guys does anyone know where I can get my hands on a ASUS matrix platnium 7970? besides amazon? I have had bad experience with amazon and newegg has the card discontinued. And why is the card already discontinued its not that old, If I cant get a hold of one I'm going to go with the sapphire vapor-x but would really want the asus

The thing is that the Matrix Platinum is/was a limited edition card... at least as I understood... - that may be the reason for not being able to find one...

I was in the same boat as you but I did a little research and the Sapphire VaporX doesn't have the matrix artifacts of doom problem so no big loss...

Thanks for the feed back guys and I just did alot of research into the ASUS matrix seems liek junk to me, seems like all there asus cards are junk. I will take a look into the saphire vapor-x, what about the MSI lightning? While i got you here what about the asus boards are they anygood or do i need to stay away from them too?

I just got a Crosshair V Formula Z and love it, much better than the POS Gigabyte I had, Asus vid cards suck bad from what I hear (and yes the Ares II costing a small fortune so noone can buy it in this economy is also junk) Saphire, XFX and MSI are the real deal where Radeon is concerned, good luck man 🙂
