Asus Ares II issues

First of all i just wanted to say that ive always been a fan of Asus products, although as far as it goes for video cards ive always stuck to Nvidia since 2007 when they started to become the more powerful company as far as video cards go. I decided to switch to an ati/amd gpu card because of Asus always doing a great job with their product and this was a first of its kind limited edition liquid cooling and i was tired of the 91 degree 590 at stock clocks.

Since having this card... install of the card and drivers i ran into many glitches in game first testing it with heavens benchmark and battlefield 3, both games had many glitches such as screen tares and fragmenting, or pixel based squares that i hope are due to drivers that are still awaiting to be updated.

i figured maybe it was a driver issue, so i updated the latest version which happened to be a "beta" driver, sure enough the problem proceeded, unfortunately at this point CCC was now broken and would not open or function at all which led me to uninstalling the drivers to reinstall them became more of a hassle then should have been allowed, having the driver uninstall program do the work for me... it deleted all card drivers which meant i had to locate and install from the windows site, that or do a system reinstall, i chose to use the website so i dont completely rage at asus.

which brings me down to the solid issue... Im playing sc2, crysis 3, wow, bf3 etc... hardcore gamer and every game is having screen tares, glitches, major fragmenting all the way acros the screen and sometimes so severe that either whole buildings disappear or the fragments completely cover the screen that i cant see anything, and dont let me get started with the desktop flickers... im gettings completely livid and pissed off about it already... I have done all i can, even to the point of taking it to memory express which is the vendor i purchased it from, they looked at it and basically said its fine just wait for a new driver...

this goes beyond drivers, why am i getting so many crashes or "your video card stopped functioning" errors constantly... that should never happen unless there is something completely $#%%ed with the card, and i hope that after my $1850 spent on this card that i would be buying the best when in reality i should have just bought 4x 680 for the same price. ive had nothing but greif with this card for the last 3 weeks of having it... and im not a happy customer... let me tell you... i mean come on crysis 3 smaa x8 doesnt even work with the card... and crossfireX is broken with the card, i get the same FPS with crossfireX turned off as i do with it turned on... please explain that

Processor - i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz

Power - corsair 1200 gold

Hi, is solution with 2D mem clk force work for you? I suppose that jumping stopped but what with artifacting and other graphic glitches?

Thanks mate, thats it! changed the 2d settings. Going to test more games and check if it stays stable.

Yes it works fine,no artifacts and no glitches,only small problem with edges,but its the driver problem

i also have problem with ares2.. 1st, lagging! i have clean install windows 7 x64, driver updated, when i try 1st game, soooo lagggggg! when i try test rating windows 7, i got 6.7 only!!!! lolz.. after that, try run game need for speed most wanted, very lag.. and games flicker.. i have prob with device manager.. hd audio amd cant install... auto disabled.. something faulty with this card!!!! anybody have same prob here? my ares 2 fan ok.. but, my ares 2 sooo hoooootttt! i cant touch vga! what prob with my card? sory for my bad english..

are you using amd 13.10b driver ? have you disabled ulps?

don't worry about windows rating, that is not something that you aim to be high nor benchmark

and games flicker..
yes, you are not alone, which is why some of us chose to "reduce" 3D memory clock & volt setting
or you can follow phot3k's 2D memory clock "boost" on other thread

I'm pretty sure these has got nothing to do with ares II
or you didn't uninstall your previous driver correctly.

did you circulate air flow properly? because when playing game, my ares can go up to 67 celc degree
ofcourse ares fan will blow hot air. that should be common.
unless your heat goes above 75 celc deg, then there is something wrong. did you use stock speed or you changes some of amd overdrive settings?
