Sorry for all my rage posts, Finally after 7 to 8 weeks, Asus has given me 2 780. Bit pissed off that they are the Direct cu oc cards, would of preferred reference cards. Its clear that asus does not fully test their overclock cards. Will install tomorrow and just pray that they work.

This will be my first time with the green team.

with Swapping from amd to NVidia is using a driver sweeper enough? To prevent any complications? Please if someone knows.

I hope you guys rma your card and get the bios updated or get some sort of replacement. its clear no amd drivers will help.

I would love SLI 780s, never had any problems with Nvidia even though not used for few years now. Would be happy to swap my Ares II for those 🙂

sli 780 oc model, WORKS GREAT! Better performance and reliability. Phsyx is nothing to write home about. Best of luck to the rest of you getting your matter resolved.

Hey guys try something for me. Set your card clocks as follows:
In 3d Clock:
GPU CLOCK: 1000
GPU VOLTAGE: 1263
Memory Clock: 6000
Fan Speed: Manual 65%

In 2d Clock:
GPU CLOCK: 700
GPU VOLTAGE: 1032
MEMORY CLOCK: 776
FAN: 65%

Seemed to get rid of my squaring issues. Just a test so whatever I am just curious if it follows suit with others.
Don't forget to sync all cards on both the clocks.

Oh and sorry IsItOverkill was my other username that I logged in on accident so if it shows up it may be a double post 😛

Disable Crossfire and overclock hell out of the card, all problems solved.

For those still having artifacting issues - please first try the latest Catalyst drivers. We've worked hard with AMD to try and fix the bugs. If they still exist, please RMA your card. There's a new patch for an internal IC that was developed during July by our RD team. Unfortunately it's not user updateable sorry, which is why it requires sending back to us.

Can someone do a 3dmark performance test before and after they've sent their card back for that vbios/repair update to see if there's a performance reduction?

Also, did the repair fix the artifact problem?

hey guys, I got my Ares 2 back few days ago from service center. I had to test it first thats why.

here is what happened,
first, the memory IC is replaced, still artifacting.
second, the GPU IC is replaced, still artifacting 😞

However, the artifacts/error issues are now much lesser occuring. not sure if it is IC changes or 13.8beta2 driver, because I never had a chance to try Ares 2 before IC changes on 13.8b2.

anyway, I have sent messages on Asus (via facebook) on things slightly more technical.
just wondering who I should set a copy of those messages here on RoG.
