7970 Matrix Platinum RMA

Guys.....had to RMA an ASUS 7970 Matrix Platinum due to artifacts at stock settings....since this card seems to be in a limited supply...discontinued or end of line card.....can anyone tell me if ASUS will be able to supply me with another Matrix 7970 Matrix Platinum ??....IF not ....what can I expect as a replacement for this card...any idea ??

Sincerely, have no idea... we could hope that some new cards were hold on stock for these RMA events...

be so. There should be a set policy.

Guys....as an up date....the card was found to be faulty and a replacement of an ASUS GTX680 DC ii 4GB card was the replacement that was suggested WHAT A JOKE & INSULT !!! LOL After a few emails and phone conversations.... It was ageed upon that the card offered was not an acceptable replacement for the Matrix and that an ASUS GTX 690 would be shipped instead.

Those 4GB GTX680s aren't too bad... but a GTX690 is definitely a better deal! Good that you've sorted this out! 🙂

UPDATE TO THIS RMA......Seems that ASUS are now recanting on the agreed upon offer of the GTX690 as a replacement for the ASUS 7970 MATRIX PLATINUM....Says there is a price difference !!!
Since when did the price become a factor in a RMA replacement ??.....Thought it was to replace with same or better as in performance !!!
LET THE BATTLE BEGIN !!!!

Update to the dilemma....Seems that ASUS pulled a rabbit out of the had ...and managed to find another 7970 MATRIX
all of a sudden somewhere out of thin air....being delivered today via courier....There is an obvious problem with these cards in that they are clocked too high causing issues...so...seeing that the card is very rare...what happens if this one fails??....Another failed offer ??...Another Rabbit Out Of The Hat ??...C'mon ASUS !!!

Yes, you had a bad experience... but I have to tell you that I've got three of those cards, from different places, and for some reason all of them are working fine at the advertised settings...
