I just noticed in MyAsus there is a new BIOS release for the X870E E-Gaming.
...So, uhhh, who is going first??

Yep, that's exactly what they told me...it is just wrong.

At this point, I feel like I should have gone with another brand. Price was the deciding factor when I swapped to the X870 chipset (MSI X870E Carbon was the top choice)... Previously (X570) I went for the board I wanted, pricing didn't matter.
This will be the first, and last, Asus product I will buy.

Yes , really sad about that. I always liked ASUS very much and still believe it's a good brand, but with such support it's difficult to recommend it nowadays.
I hope EXPO will work soon again, with 0606 there was no problem, but i will live for now with DDR-5800.

What is the point of sitting on a broken BIOS? The only way to fix it is for Asus to put out another BIOS. Using 0606 (proven to be stable and reliable) sounds like a better idea and wait the 3-4 weeks until a new BIOS comes out.... Call it 0666. 😂👺

You're right, will try some settings and also have to do a longer memtests now and downgrading to 0606 is of course a very good option 😊 i suppose there were no issues after downgrading with optimized defaults?

Prior to upgrading to a Asus Strix 870e with 9800x3d, I had an Asus Strix 550e with a 3900x. It was stable and great.
Not after when I was in the market for a new motherboard with a 9800x3d and looking for Asus motherboard reviews that I saw it had a bad rep from YouTube influencers.
Only issue I had going after my new build was the 0d error I was getting when rebooting my PC. But after I found a fix here from a user it it's been solid. The only complaint I had was the M2 slot design. Lol

Update: it works now with 0706 and EXPO 2 with DDR-6000, too - there is an additional UEFI Setting called 'FCLK VDCI MODE PREF', i saw it because i exported the settings to a TXT File and compared it with 0606. This setting is per default on AUTO and i changed it to Predictive - now it works with EXPO 2 😊 hope this can help others here...
These links helped me out:

FCLK VDCI MODE PREF:
Predictive:Force VDCI predictive mode. Higher latency, but better stability at high voltages / frequencies.
Auto:Allow SyncFifo and Bypass Mode. Lower latency.

Sadly that still results in the M.2 2 and 3 slots disappearing, at least it does for me.
Hopefully it does help those not using those slots though.
I would have hoped that a company like Asus would have the resources to troubleshoot this quickly inhouse, unless this is an AMD issue. Honestly, I think more ram speed presets from ASUS for different ram types (just having 6000 ones for all ram configs would be handy given its the recommended one for these CPUs) would be a better workaround right now as setting ram outside of the XMP settings being left on auto does seem to work, for me at least.
They are in Ai Tweaker\DRAM Timing Control\Memory Presets. If you know what ram type you have (you can find out in Tool\ASUS SPD Information), hopefully there is a preset in there that can do the trick, though you still have to set the speed manually but its better for those who understandably don't want to play with the timings manually.

What CPU u got?

This was a good find, but sadly chaniing the mode pref to "Predictive" doesn't fix EXPO on my Corsair 6800 ram. I think the problem is at ram set a a speed higher than 6000. I can manually set my ram up to that, but once I try anything over the board will not post. Thanks for the tip and glad it worked for your set up!
