I built my computer in November; I never had an issue with my M.2 drives until a couple months ago. Suddenly, I can only boot into windows when my M.2_1 drive is set as Gen 3 in the bios.
Crosshair x870e Hero with Ryzen 9950x and ROG RYUJIN III AIO
Samsung 9100 Pro 1TB (M.2_1 Set as Gen5 worked for a while; upgraded from an older Samsung M.2 drive due to this issue which was a Gen4 set as Gen 4.
Samsung 980 Pro 1TB (M.2_4 Set as Gen4; formatted using bios to rule out any issue.
Samsung 980 Pro 2TB (M.2_5 Set as Gen4; formatted using bios to rule out any issue.
ASUS TUF 5070 ti installed PCIEX16_1 (was originally installed vertically with no issue with M.2_1; at some point it was suggested maybe M.2_1 slot might be overheating now its horizontal with same issue).
I tried rearranging the drives as I was troubleshooting them, adjusted the bios here and there, I upgraded and downgraded the bios several times, the only fix seems to be dropping to Gen3. Any ideas? Thank you in advanced. Robert

Sorry I can't really help with the Gen 3 issue but there is another rather glaring issue with your build. The tubes of the radiator in a vertical build should be at the bottom and not at the top.
