X870-A GAMING WIFI is desperately disappointing

I have 2 issues with this board that seem unsolveable:

1 - the onboard LAN is locked to 100Mbps no matter what I do. I had to buy a USB-C NIC instead - which happily connects at 1Gbps to the exact same router port. I disabled the onboard LAN.

2 - the onboard audio randomly crackles and fluctuates in volume on the SPDIF out.

I've stuck with Asus as they served me well in the past, but it's unlikely that will continue.

I just got 870-F gaming and also lan(L226-V) is stuck on 100 mbit(connected to a 2.5gb rotuer )

What the hell Asus can we expect some kind of firmware fix, I had similar issues with Intel 225 on my previous asus B550 board and I can't belive you still put this broken trash nics on such espensive new motherboards

I also tried to submit ticket but it doesn't accept my new mbo serial , can I get any help here ?

So I think my audio issue was solved by changing FCLK from Auto to 2000. Pretty obscure.

The LAN issue remains unsolved.

I tried with setup defaults and lan is still stuck @100mbit, don't have audio issues tho.

Unfortunately, running into the same issue with the LAN capped at 100mbps.  Extremely frustrating.  Tried everything under the sun as well in hopes to avoid having to buy a separate peripheral just for this.

Opened a ticket myself,  let's see what comes out of it.  Did you ever get any resolution on your end?

Ticket made 3 days ago to Asus support no response yet. For now using usb adapter..

Asus just closed my ticket with no response , what the hell is happening with Asus ?

+1 !

My motherboard was working perfectly until recently, when I noticed that my ethernet was 1 Mbps instead of 1 Gpbs.
The cable and the box (Orange Livebox 6) are not to blame, a laptop gets the right speed. And as I said, it worked. Could a system or motherboard update be the cause?
I've tried various solutions, using old drivers or installing drivers from the Intel site, but to no avail.
So I have to use wifi, where I get 1 Gbps, at the expense of a slight deterioration in ping...

Here what system give me as informations (french version) :

Vitesse de liaison agrégée (réception/transmission) : 100/100 (Mbps)
Fabricant : Intel

Type du système Système d’exploitation 64 bits, processeur x64
Édition Windows 11 Professionnel

Installé le ‎10/‎11/‎2024
Build du système d’exploitation 26100.2605
Expérience Pack d’expérience de fonctionnalités Windows 1000.26100.36.0

Any solution Asus ?

PS : no sound problem for me, except "DolbyAccess_ROG" from Armoury Crate which doesn't install (?)

Hi All,

Most likely because I couldn't be bothered to take the build apart to RMA the board, I figured I can survive on a USB LAN adapter until the driver issues get sorted..

I was looking at the Windows updates that came along Windows 11 24H2 last night and noticed there was also a driver update for the LAN (Realtek - Net - 11.15.327.2024).  Manually installed it, and restarted the comp.  To my surprise, that did it for me!  Finally the ethernet connection is at Gigabit speeds on my end.  I really hope your issues get resolved as easy as the new driver update.

Where did you go to download the driver?
