I have 2 issues with this board that seem unsolveable:
1 - the onboard LAN is locked to 100Mbps no matter what I do. I had to buy a USB-C NIC instead - which happily connects at 1Gbps to the exact same router port. I disabled the onboard LAN.
2 - the onboard audio randomly crackles and fluctuates in volume on the SPDIF out.
I've stuck with Asus as they served me well in the past, but it's unlikely that will continue.

I tried to reinstall the driver several times and still stuck at 100/100. Someone said they fixed it by installing some windows updates but I don't see that update anywhere....

@Khryus - You might be right, I was at my wits end and reinstalled Windows 24H2 update.
The driver Realtek - Net - 11.15.327.2024 was under the Driver Updates section and did not download automatically. Most likely USB, as you've correctly pointed out it's an Intel driver.
Sorry, I wish I could be more specific.. Don't know what worked but those were the two updates I installed yesterday and fixed it =/
Edit: In case this helps, here's what the device properties show:
Manufacturer: Intel
Description: Intel (R) Ethernet Controller I226-V
Driver version: 2.1.4.3
It is reflecting the correct link speed of 1000/1000 Mbps

@TG24 thanks for clarification.
For me, I'm up to date with Windows 24H2, I also have the last l226-V (version 2.1.4.3) with the last bios (0803 from the 12/17/24 (12/25/24 on the Asus site)).
No way, it's blocked to 100 mbps... Many tests prove it comes from the motherboard, not the cable or router... The worst is that at start, it worked. Any update of I don't know what breaked it...
Anyone got a solution ? Asus ticket "in progress..."

I thought it was the bios... But I also moved my SSD that was located in the M2_3 port to M.2_4.
If I ask Chat GPT, his answer is:
”
The integrated Ethernet controller (Intel or Realtek) often uses PCIe lines via the chipset.
Some chipsets disable or limit Ethernet speed when another device (M.2 SSD) consumes the same PCIe lines.
By moving the SSD from M.2_3 to M.2_4, you've probably freed up PCIe bandwidth for the Ethernet controller.
Automatic chipset optimization
The BIOS may have adjusted the PCIe resource allocation after moving the SSD.
This explains why your built-in Ethernet now runs at 1 Gbps instead of being throttled.
”
For the story, I moved it to slot 4 because I had installed a network card in the PCIEX16(G4) slot, yet I didn't have the expected speed either. After some research, this port apparently shares bandwidth with the M.2_3 port. This network card then worked fine. So I checked the ethernet card on the motherboard, bingo ! That now works fine too. It's all about bandwidth sharing and this M.2_3 port seems to be a problem.
Hope it helps and that this is the correct explanation. Any specialist around ?
