Hey all
Just about to receive a prebuilt PC that has a single m.2 2TB and a 5080 RTX card. Wanting to add my existing 4090 RTX (3d rendering purposes) and a m.2 4TB drive. If my understanding is correct , should i use m.2_1 and m.2_4 or m.2_5
Both PCIe ports will drop to x8 and the m.2 that are both Gen 4x4 will run at optimum speeds?
Thanks alot

Hello pr1970
That looks correct for what you want to do.
Two Nvidia gpu's will run at x8.
You might want to check to see which slot the existing M.2 drive is in, then make the decision of where to install a new drive.
It looks like you can use any M.2 slots except for M.2_2 or M.2_3, using these slots will disable the 2nd pcie x16 slot.

Thanks used m.2_4 and no issues.
