I am experiencing an issue with my ASUS X870E Crosshair Hero. Until yesterday, all USB ports were working fine, but suddenly, my mouse and keyboard stopped functioning on three of them. Interestingly, storage devices like USB sticks still work without any problems.
The issue occurs not only in Windows but also in the BIOS—these USB ports do not detect input devices there either. I have already installed the latest BIOS version (1504), but the problem persists.
My mouse and keyboard work perfectly fine on other USB ports. What’s particularly strange is that USB sticks are recognized without any issues on the supposedly faulty ports, while input devices are not.
All drivers are up to date, and I have already performed multiple CMOS resets—unfortunately, without success.
Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this or how to fix it? I would really appreciate any advice!
