Troubleshooting a SATA M.2 in my new X870E-E Gaming Wifi Board

Hello,

I've recently upgraded my build to the following (don't know if you need to know this for my issue, but nonetheless) :

  • x870E-E
  • AMD Ryzen 7 98003XD
  • G.SKILL 32G 2x D5 6000 C30
  • Zotac RTX 4070 ti

In this new build I have used some old drives from my previous build. In total I have 2x M.2 NVMe drives, 1x HDD, 1x SATA SSD, and 1x M.2 SATA drive. When in BIOS every drive is detected except for the M.2 SATA drive. Admittedly I am not too proficient in navigating BIOS, I have tried to find if maybe there was a setting I was missing where I had to enable the specific M.2 slot (M.2_4) for SATA, as opposed to NVMe. I initially had my 3 M.2 drives in slots 1,2 and 3. But I read that there has been issues where m.2_2 can disappear so I swapped it to be M.2_1 (NVMe Boot), M.2_4 (SATA Storage) and M.2_5 (NVMe Storage)

I was hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction here, as my searches have not produced a solution.

tl;dr is there a setting in bios for m.2 SATA storage that will ultimately allow the motherboard to detect this drive.

Appreciate anyone who reads this
