Strix x870E-E error code 00 after bios update

So last night I decided to update to 1001 bios version. Everything went great updated completed, restarts does some other update for couple seconds then blank screen and my fans continue to ramp up and down with a Q-code of 00. I let it sit there for couple hours and nothing. Since then I have done a few things like pull cpu, no bent pins or burn marks, pulled 1 and both ram sticks, pulled all the usb cables and tried installing older bios through bios flashback since it won't boot into bios. Nothing has worked. Same thing I power it on and the fans ramp up and down and code stays 00 despite what I do. Do you guys believe it could be that I bricked the motherboard?

Yeah, you're not alone bro

I bricked my x670e-f a month ago while updating the BIOS

Asus refused to RMA pretexting it was my fault. I did everything right, it wasn't my first time updating the BIOS of this mobo

Ended up buying a x870e-e and NOT updating the BIOS, ever.

There are serious issues regarding BIOS updates quality control.

****** so I can look forward to wasting over $500 on this board...awesome.

Same issue, didnt even enjoy the board for more than a few hours. Tried updating bios and now have the same 00 qcode. Also on 9800x3d. Tore it all apart and put back together to no avail. Tried flbk and it didn't help.

In the beginning, I had the same bad opinion about Strix X870E-E motherboard.

However, at the moment, I believe it is a very good and stable motherboard. It was resolved by using the most compatible memory sticks as follows:

CORSAIR DOMINATOR TITANIUM RGB DDR5 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30 (AMD EXPO) (CMP64GX5M2B6000Z30) with Clock Timings:  30-36-36-76

This is exactly what is mentioned in Asus Strix X870E-E motherboard support page :

ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI | Gaming motherboards|ROG - Republic of Gamers|ROG Global

That is it. Use this link and have the most compatible memory and get this motherboard stable and robust.

For AMD CPUs,  filter from the list  "ONLY"  EXPO  then find the Memory you need for your Ryzen CPU and I am sure you will resolve the issue.

I have this one, Kingston KF560C30BBEAK2-64 2x 32GBXMP/ EXPO6000 6000DSSK Hynix 30-36-36-80 1.4 1.2 full compatibility on the Asus website, and problems with disks and system hangs, chipset not working, just a lot

Part No.  :   Kingston KF560C30BBEAK2-64  is not existed in the list I mentioned before.

Furthermore, it seems you meant Part No.  KF560C36BBEAK2-64 which is existed in the list. However, it does not support XMP/EXPO . I strongly advise you to filter from the list  "ONLY"  EXPO  then find the Memory you need for your Ryzen CPU and I am sure you will resolve the issue.

Remember; Kingston  does NOT support EXPO profile  as single profile which will give the stability you need.

Just try the list again:

Hello
The KF560C30BBEAK2-64 memory is available on the link page as fully compatible.
XPM and EXPO certified
Since Asus lists this memory as compatible despite having certificates for both profiles, it should be suitable.
If not, they should remove it from the list of supported memories.

Yes, agree with you. But I found those memories with only EXPO support are more stable. I tried many sticks brands and found those with EXPO  (not XMP/EXPO)   are more stable.  My issue with motherboard instability was fully resolved with only EXPO supported memory.

the most interesting thing is that the memory itself, which is tortured by tests, does not cause any problems,

 update:

Received my RMA back and they ended up replacing it. Spite having to pay $41 to ship it to the repair facility the process was smooth. I guess I lucked out.
