Strix x870E-E error code 00 after bios update

So last night I decided to update to 1001 bios version. Everything went great updated completed, restarts does some other update for couple seconds then blank screen and my fans continue to ramp up and down with a Q-code of 00. I let it sit there for couple hours and nothing. Since then I have done a few things like pull cpu, no bent pins or burn marks, pulled 1 and both ram sticks, pulled all the usb cables and tried installing older bios through bios flashback since it won't boot into bios. Nothing has worked. Same thing I power it on and the fans ramp up and down and code stays 00 despite what I do. Do you guys believe it could be that I bricked the motherboard?

****** so even this non-beta BIOS has people experiencing issues? How is a top tier premium MOBO like the X870E-E not have a decently recent and stable BIOS. It seems the last good stable bios with no major issues is still 0606. I'm tempted to just revert to that and stay on that for a couple of months until Asus release a more recent and stable bios that everyone is happy with.

I wonder if this is related to AGESA PI-1.2.0.3a Patch because same thing is happening to MSI boards. I am here because I had the same issue with an MSI carbon and was going to get a Crosshair hero because I am fed up with MSI. I wonder if it's actually a bigger issue with the chipset in general.

These are exactly my thoughts. I'm RMAing my mobo and CPU (waiting for an AM5 compatible CPU to arrive tomorrow to test if this killed my 9800X3D - not that there wouldn't have been an issue with the CPU itself). I'm facing exactly the same issue with 00 error code on my ASrock X870E Taichi Lite after doing the BIOS update (3.18.AS01 for the Taichi) which contains AGESA PI-1.2.0.3a Patch.

I've posted here on the subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/ASRock/comments/1i7a2nd/comment/m8jzl59/ . I've replied to multiple people in there. Nobody seems to have faced this issue, but I Googled and found this thread here. I think they are somehow related, but not sure exactly.

@Insanityoo  - Did you have the chance to test with another CPU? If not, I might be able to do so tomorrow with another CPU, if the courier for the RMA doesn't arrive tomorrow for both my 9800X3D and my Taichi board.

I did test with a brand new cpu and no luck. I am guessing my mobo is bricked. Filed a RMA already.

Although I assume you mean BIOS 1003 when I read "newest BIOS", a little more clarity in your title would help A LOT.  👍

You are right I should have been more specific. It was actually the beta 1001 version since 1003 wasn't out yet.

The bleeding edge of technology is fast AF.

SO....  You're going to 1001.

  1. From which BIOS?
  2. Have you tried updating the BIOS through the USB port on the rear IO??
  3. Have you cleared your CMOS?
  4. Have you removed the battery on the mobo for a period of time?
  5. Are you using iCue?  I came across this error as a part of some RGB incompatibility.  I cannot recall what I did to resolve it, but it had to do with a setting in the BIOS on 0606.  (I know that may not help 😶)

We are the test crew... Crash Test Crew! 😑🤣🤣
