Hello everyone,
I'm new to the community. I would like to ask for your wise and kind advice about the Samsung 9100 Pro. I've found some posts online that claim this drive is not fully compatible with the X870E chipset, nor with the X870. I've read about performance issues, low performance, and detection problems by the OS installer, as well as the need for a BIOS fix. Does this sound true to you? Can you help me understand if these issues have been fixed?
Best regards,
D4ve

When I bought the x870e-e I transferred my WD SN850x from my old computer to this one for the c drive. After a few months, I cloned the drive to a Samsung 9100 Pro 4tb. No problems. Of course like most I’ve had my share of issues with this board but none that I’ve attributed to the drive hardware. Getting experted high performance with the drive. Everything is up-to-date on my board.

I've installed my OS (Win11 24H2, recently updated to 25H2) and programs on a Samsung 9100 Pro 2Tb (as C:). Running smoothly since July on an X870E Creator Wifi (with a 9800X3D), getting almost exactly the claimed read/write-speeds seen in most benchmarks.
I also built two other PC's since then (with other X870E-motherboards) for friends, both with a 9100 Pro 1Tb as C-drive. Same story there.
No idea where these rumours about incompatibility with the X870(E)-chipsets are coming from.

Thank you, guys! That's really appreciated. I'm about to set up my ROG motherboard with the 9800X3D and the 9100 Pro, hopefully today. Your feedback has been really helpful and appreciated!
