Hello I have this weird problem here.
Some random USB devices don't get recognized. For example a simple Samsung USB Stick, when I plug it in, it does not get recognized by windows. I get following error:
"The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. Recommendation: Try reconnecting the device. If Windows still does not recognise it, your device may not be working properly."
The thing is the usb stick works on every other PC I can find. There is nothing unusual in the device manager, drivers are all up to date. I also loaded the newest driver from the realtek website after it didnt work from the asus support page, with no success. I tried every usb port, none work.
Does anyone know how to help?
9800X3D I use.

Had the same issue once after plugging in a headset from a sketchy Telemarketing Agency, turns out the USB controller was messed up until I reset the BIOS.

yea, I've had to pull the CMOS battery more times than I want to remember due to the BIOS getting hung on the DRAM light so don't think that a reset was going to work for me. Ultimately, I just got a different headset from Amazon... it's been used for 6 years... probably time to move on 👍
