ROG Strix X870E-E strix, realtek 5gb ethernet driver no Internet

Hi

Just got done setting up my pc , and the ethernet drivers on asus site install fine, but I have no internet.  I have to use basic realtek PCi-e Ethernet driver.

Neither of these work. Have tried uninstalling, rebooting and so forth. Have no no headway.

Realtek LAN Driver V1126.16.1121.2023 for Windows 11.(WHQL)

This is from the downloads page that Mokichu keeps up to date  Just use driver store explorer to remove old drivers after new drivers

No good Im afraid, same as others, I can install fine. Can see it under device manager. Rebooted and disconnected Ethernet cable and plugged it back in. Nothing. Back to basic realtek pcie driver.

What bios are you currently on?  I am on 1104.  Not sure if that would help or not.  Maybe a clear cmos of the bios.  Which version of windows are you running?  Its a known issue in x870 boards from what I read.  Most say to return or rma it it cant be installed correclty.

Sadly I cannot return to amazon past the window. I'm on Windows 11 pro 23H2 bios version is 1104. cmos didn't help unfortunately.
