Hey there,
I just want to let you guys know, that I recently had the issue, that my system was unstable while gaming when EXPO (I or II) was enabled with 6000 MT/s. The games were crashing with the error code "ACCESS_VIOLATION" and after two weeks of figuring out what is causing the issue, I found a possible solution on this board, that the BIOS could be bugged or unstable when using EXPO.
Right now I'm running EXPO with only 5600 MT/s and there are no crashes anymore.
I'm running following RAM: 2x 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 6000 MT/s (CMT64GX5M2B6000Z30).
That is indeed not on the QVL but the Dominator Titanium is on that list. Since they're using comparable chips, it should work and I would not consider that the RAM is unsupported. Other users are using QVL RAM and still got issues with EXPO.
Also many others around here are mentioning issues with EXPO, so I guess we have to wait for an BIOS update.
But at least I wanted to share my experience if someone else has the same speccs and issues.
So here's my whole System and BIOS Settings (regarding RAM):

Yep, that was the thread I found to learn what's most likely happening with my system.
I also reported it to asus. So maybe we will get an BIOS update in the future that fixes the issue. right now I can use my RAM with good timings and high clocks. not the ones I bought it for but high enough to wait for them to fix it properely at least. better than 4800 MT/s CL40 tho 😄

The ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming WIFI motherboard seems to struggle with stability when using the EXPO profile for 6000MT/s Corsair Dominator RAM. This could indicate compatibility issues or the need for BIOS updates. Users facing this problem may try manually adjusting voltage or timings, updating firmware, or lowering the RAM speed slightly to improve stability. It's worth checking ASUS forums or support for specific guidance.

Hi, expo at 6000mt/s? Expo I or II? Did you perform any long-duration tests, for example, with OCCT or y-cruncher

Hi all,
Been racking my brain out on this and seeing similar setups and issues.
I'm on bios version 1003 and still having a ton of stability issues.
I tested with both EXPO I and II. After reading through the posts will try to set at 5600mhz to see if things stabilize

Same here! Nothing has worked for me; I’ve given up for now until I get a new BIOS. I don't think it's the hardware—maybe the processor's IMC, but I’m not sure.

Finally, I managed to stabilize the RAM at 6000 MT/s without a single error in OCCT. To achieve this, I used the latest BIOS version for the X870E-E: 1102. But the most important thing (it wouldn’t work without this) was lowering the VSOC to 1.15V from the 1.25V that the BIOS set to "AUTO" for 6000 MT/s. I noticed that at 5600 MT/s, the VSOC stayed at 1.20V, so I gave it a try. It worked almost flawlessly, so I lowered it a bit more to 1.10V, but that still caused errors. At 1.15V, everything worked perfectly. Sometimes, increasing voltages isn’t the solution—it depends on the motherboard. This should really be the default setting in the BIOS, but oh well, at least it's fixed now, and I can finally run my memory at the 6000 MT/s I wanted! 😊
