The monthly BIOS update for the Asus ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI was released.

The changelog is quite short (as usual):

Updated AGESA to ComboAM5 PI 1.2.0.3g

The BIOS update went smoothly. So far, I haven't noticed any problems.

I googled what AGESA 1.2.0.3g entails and this is what Google AI coughed up:

Key features and benefits of AGESA 1.2.0.3g:

  • Support for Future CPUs:
This version ensures compatibility with next-generation AMD processors, including the Ryzen 9000 series and future APUs like the Ryzen 9000G "Gorgon Point".
  • Enhanced Memory Support:
It expands the support for RAM modules, enabling higher capacities such as 256 GB (4x64 GB) configurations on compatible motherboards.

  • Security and Stability:
The firmware includes ongoing patches to address security vulnerabilities, such as the fTPM issue, and provides overall improvements to system stability and device compatibility.

  • Performance Optimizations:
Users can expect potential enhancements in system performance and overclocking capabilities

Currently on 1504 and was about to upgrade prior to moving from a 9800x3d to a 9950x3d, however, the final install prompt noted this BIOS can't be rolled back.  Not sure I like that risk

Moved to it yesterday from 1701 without issue, seems to be working as expected.

Will I lose my profiles if I upgrade to this? I just bought this board “x870e-e” last week and used the august bios when first building the PC. Iv never owned an asus board prior to this one so that’s why I ask. Thanks

Yes, all settings will be lost.

Yes it resets your profiles just export them to USB first then you can load them from USB.  It's an option under tools/userprofiles

I have almost the same set up, but i have a 5090 32GB card, and running 64GB Flare X5, in a 9000D supercomputer case. Built it myself with full iCue link 16 rgb fans. Took me a while to build this thing, and don't ever want to build anything like this again.
