The new beta update has been released. Is anyone planning to try it first? I'm hesitant to test it myself in case it has issues.

I am hesitant to try the beta BIOS as the 1003 BIOS was very unstable for me compared to 0706 BIOS. All I was trying to run was PBO with -30 all core, and EXPO I, and it was freezing up randomly on almost any kind of tasking, plus heat generation was higher at base/idle and under load. I even tried a reinstall of the 1003 BIOS without improvement. Switched back to 0706 and have had no crashes yet.
For reference, I have the same mobo, with 9800X3D CPU, and Corsair Vengeance 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5 6000 RAM.

PBO -30 could be too high. Try with -25 or -20. This is something related to silicon lottery. I am using 26.

I have perfect stability working/playing anything I want on 0706 BIOS with EXPO I and PBO -30. I had better stability on 0706 with -40 PBO than -30 on 1003 BIOS. So no, I don't have to accept that and bump myself down. But that's my experience and I'll be happy to try again once 1103 BIOS is fully released from beta.

Updated to 1104 today and very stable with EXPO I and PBO -30, temps have been as great as they ever have been on the 9800X3D. Performance has been great too. No complaints.

After I restarted my PC. My RAM runs at 6000MHZ instead of 5600MHZ. I didn't fiddle with anything at all.

Wow fullvietfx my ram is 8000MHz so I don´t expect it go itself higher but it´s nice to hear that bios is "clever" 🙂

My setup is also an Asus X870E Hero with AMD 9950x and G-SKILL Z5 DDR5 (2x32GB) 6000MT/s and can confirm with the new UEFI BIOS Version 1104 -> no issues so far, well done ASUS 👍

I am still on 0706 myself. It's mostly fine except for a slowish boot compared to prior versions. I'll probably update to 1103 in a bit, I'm not doing any overclocking or anything crazy beyond setting RAM Expo so it should be just as good or equivalent to 0706 for me. We'll see.
