Hi everybody,
I got this motherboard yesterday and installed it with the following components:
AMD9 9950X3D, NVidia RTX 5080, Corsair 2x32Gb RAM CMH64GX5M2B6000Z30, liquid cooler Lian Li GA II LCD 360, and a PSU od 1050W.
After turning the power On for the first time, some codes appeared without booting: 48, 08, 18. I checked the manual, didn’t understand it. Googled around and decided to flash new bios.
After flashing the bios, it still doesn’t want to boot, and same codes appear.
I switched the RAMs from 2nd and 4th socket to other sockets, tried using only 1 RAM socket, still the same codes appear.
Then I removed the CPU and installed it gently again. Tried, and still same codes appear and the PC will not boot when power button is pressed
Can somebody help please, what may be the issue?

Thank you,
Just want to confirm if there were motherboard standoffs pre-installed or if you installed them. It looks like you didn't use all the mounting holes which shouldn't be an issue.
Without the motherboard standoffs installed, this will cause a short.

Here are some pictures of the CPU socket before last replacement. And how it looks at the moment.

Update: I just noticed that mother booting after connecting power supply, without pressing Power On / Start button should not happen. After unplugging the Front Panel Power On button, this still happens. I guess the motherboard is malfunctioning from the start…

Hello Adixylian
Try this:
1) Shut down your pc and unplug the power supply cable.
2) Install 1 stick of memory in the A2 slot (2nd slot from the cpu).
3) Connect your monitor cable to the motherboard HDMI port, you can also try with your RTX 5080 (HDMI, Displayport).
4) Make sure your monitor is in standby mode or turned on.
5) Press and hold the clear cmos button for 3 seconds.
6) Connect the power supply cable and start your pc.
If you get random codes, let it go for a while and see if it eventually boots.
How does this go?

Hi Nate, thanks for the help!
Unfortunately, it’s the same. The Start button just doesn’t react. I called the store and will return this, most probably it is a faulty motherboard.

You're welcome
Next thing to try is flashing/updating the bios with the bios flashback feature, we can hope this will bring it to life.
If you'd like help updating the bios, just say so.
This would be worth a shot.

That’s a good advice, but I already tried it. I tried two different BIOS versions, with CMOS reset etc. Didn’t help unfortunately

There were already 6 out of 9 standoffs installed as they were used for my previous motherboard.
I don’t have the other three, nor did I receive any with the motherboard.
If this can cause a short, it could be the issue.
This possible short, is it fixable? Or does it kill the motherboard and bye bye?

It can be fixable.
Check in your pc case accessories/box and see if any motherboard standoffs came with it.
Make sure the standoffs for all the motherboard mounting holes are installed.
See if by chance this gets it working.
