Yesterday (2025/05/13) new drivers for the ASUS ROG STRIX X870-F where added to the (german) support site:
QCA WiFi Driver V3.1.0.1453 and QCA Bluetooth Driver V3.1.0.1453.
Previous drivers: MTK WiFi Driver V5.4.0.3044 and MTK Bluetooth Driver V1.1041.0.492.
Did Asus release an updated board revision where they changed from Mediatek to Qualcomm modules?

Those same drivers are showing up for the ASUS ROG Crosshair Hero X870E as well. So maybe it's an error, but the theory of a board revision may be an accurate one.

so, should I use new one after clean os install or stick with mediatek one? I have x870e-e gaming wifi.

If you go to device manager you can see if you have a Qualcomm or Mediatek Bluetooth and Wifi Controller. I would only install the driver corresponding to the chip you have. At this stage if the drivers in the support website were previously Mediatek and now Qualcomm it is either an error or they are mix and matching chips depending on board revision. Could be something to do with the tariffs but I would only install the driver that matches the chip in your board.

thanks for your kind answer. i checked mine and looks like its mediatek 7927. so i'm gonna stick with old driver. it's just confusing since there is not explanation for releasing new driver.

Hello,
Unfortunately, when these new drivers appeared on the website, I installed them thinking it would be a normal update, but my card is also Mediatek.
How do I uninstall these new QCA drivers?
I can't find them in the installed applications...
Thanks

I would be somewhat surprised if the driver actually installed without having the physical component. Most of the time the driver checks for the hardware prior to installation, so it is likely you are okay. I would check "Programs and Features" under control panel if you haven't already to see if the driver is in there. Otherwise you could download the "Driver Store Explorer" and remove the QCA (Qualcomm) specific drivers. However, I would only recommend using this tool if you are an advanced user.

You don't really need to uninstall them. It's just a driver package. They won't replace or upset anything. Driver Store Explorer can do it, if you've set your mind on it though.
Also, Station Drivers have a newer version of the Mediatek drivers than what ASUS have posted on their support site: MediaTek Wi-Fi 7 MT7927 / MT7925 Wireless LAN Version 5.5.0.3548

Also to add to this latest drivers can also be found here; MoKiChU is well known in the community and constantly provides the latest updated drivers for all motherboards on this thread.

I opened "Driver Store Explorer" and this list appeared, can you tell me if the driver I should delete is the one selected with the red rectangle?
Thank you
