ROG STRIX X870-A GAMING WIFI and 9100 Pro 8TB compatibility

I want to consolidate all of my games onto one SSD because I want to install linux on it's own drive, but when I looked at the support list for the motherboard it's showing that all of the other versions (1-4TB) are supported but the 8TB one is not listed. Why is that the only one that isn't listed? I don't have room to add another storage device unfortunately due to the shared bandwidth.

Probably because the 8Tb-version didn't exist yet when they released the motherboard, or haven't updated the support list since it came out recently. I'd say you've got a big chance the 8Tb works just as well as the other capacities do. 😉

you can use a gen 4 ssd in slot 4 and it will not interfere with the pcie lanes of gpu. as regards the 9100 pro. give it time to update
