I'm planning on using a ROG Crosshair x870e Hero form my new build and have a question about M.2 Temperatures. In the TECHPOWERUP review of the ROG Crosshair x870e Hero, they found the M.2 heatsinks did poorly in their testing compared to other brands of motherboards. What have ROG Crosshair x870e Hero owners seen with their M.2 temps?

Three M.2s in my build that occupy M.2_1, 4 and 5. Win 11 on slot 1 is about 33-36 Celsius after boot. Running tests it goes 36-40.
The two others have rarely exceeded 36-38 when testing. Admittedly I’m still building and can’t vouch how they do in lengthier scenarios of use. But no initial concerns. All 3 are Samsung 990 pros

I'm not running the HERO but the Strix Board. I have 2x Gen4 SSDs installed (1x via CPU; 1x via X870). While gaming the main-SSD (windows & games) are around 50°C which is totally fine for an m.2 SSD. The other SSD (X870) sits around 40-45°C. Both are Samsung SSDs (980 pro & 990 pro).
