RAM Compatibility Issues

Here is my brief PC setup

Mobo : Crosshair X870E Extreme

CPU : Ryzen 9950X3D

VGA : RTX LC 5090 OC

RAM : 4 × 24 GB G-Skill Trident Royal Neo (F5-8000J4048G24GX2-TR5NS)

I got problems installing when it comes to 4 slots of RAM. After a few surf, it was likely because of the RAM was a high speed one. Make some tweak through the BIOS and it can normally run with only 3600 MT/s. That's equal to DDR4 which dissapoint me. If I want to utilize the whopping 8000 MT/s, i can only use 2 slots. Of course the EXPO is already turned on.

Here's my question :

Can anyone give me some advice or maybe tweaks to utilize 4 slots of RAM with 8000 MT/s? Does my CPU cannot work with those RAM? If there is a way to utilize the speed of the RAM, I would love to hear that from you guys

Hello Joxiii

Combining two memory kits is why you're having issues.

Use one memory kit in the A2-B2 slots.

Thanks for the reply @Nate152

Even it's the same RAM series, it's still considered as "mix kits"?

Soooo.. I should just bought 4x24GB RAM kit instead of buying 2 pair of 2x24GB ?

Ooohh.. I'm screwed 🙂🙂

Yes, do not mix memory kits even of the same specs.

What's happening is, you're doubling up on the capacity at the same frequency.

96GB 8000MT/s is not validated by G.Skill or ASUS.

Return a memory kit if you're able to.

What do you think about this RAM : G-Skill F5-6000J3644D64GX4-TZ5NR. Will it be compatible?

Hi, I have exactly the same motherboard, same cpu and exactly same videocard! But I am running only on 2x24 GB kit DDR5 8000 that actually can't work at all, always fails at detecting memory, but I can use 1 module at EXPO and works fine, just can't make 2 to run. With this kit you mention 2 × 24 GB G-Skill Trident Royal Neo (F5-8000J4048G24GX2-TR5NS) can you work at 8000 with expo settings and 48 GB without any issues? If that the case then I will make a purchase for the same ones, as my current V-Color 2x24 GB Manta XFinity RGB TMXFL2480838KWK can't wotk. Also I check about this Lexar kit LD5U24G80C40BR-RGD but they didn't confirm if this will work at 8000 with 48 GB on my mobo and cpu.
