Hello everyone,
I'm dealing with a frustrating DRAM POST error on my recent build that has persisted through multiple hardware changes. Here's my situation:
System Specifications:
- Motherboard: Asus ProArt X870E Creator WiFi
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9950X
- Initial RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 64GB Kit QVL Verified
- Replacement RAM: Kingston Fury 5200 64GB Kit QVL Verfied
Issue Timeline:
1. System ran flawlessly for the first week after build
2. Suddenly began getting DRAM POST errors, preventing boot
3. Swapped original G.Skill RAM for Kingston Fury - error remained
4. Received replacement motherboard under warranty
5. Problem persists with new motherboard and different RAM
6. Updated BIOS via QFlash with USB drive - no improvement
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
- Replaced RAM with different brand/model
- Got motherboard replaced under warranty
- Updated BIOS
- None of these solutions resolved the DRAM POST error
The most puzzling aspect is that this issue has survived both RAM and motherboard replacements. The only component I haven't changed is the CPU. Could this point to a potential CPU-related issue?
Would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions on what to try next.
Thanks in advance!
