When I try to install the new update ASMx4242_FWUpdateV40013, I get the following error. I followed all the instructions and even installed Microsoft VC_redist.x64. Any recommendations?

Funny, I just started having the exact same issue after experiencing a bsod today.

And after running the dump file through Windbg, I was able to to pin point the exact device/driver causing my bsod, which is this one.

But trying to reinstall it gave me the same error. And before this, I had no issue with installing/reinstalling this driver, I have installed it multiple times due to reinstalling Windows.

Don't know what broke it, could be the same issue that was cauing my BSOD.

Guys dont use safe mode, as this could lead to issues as certain stuff can be limited which is not good for flashing of this fw. My advice is to discconect all usb-hubsm streamdecks, wheels, controlers, etc and leave only keybboard and mouse conected bia usb. I had this exact issue on first run, then ive disconnected external ssd drive, wheel, streamdeck, capturecard, button box , run tool as admin and it worked fine from that point. After update ive reconnected all back again and no issues.

Safe mode is like disconnecting everything except the mouse and keyboard. If you enter safe mode and check the connected devices, you'll see. In my case, I only have the mouse and keyboard connected, and it didn't work in normal mode either. It must be that some motherboards work and others don't. The important thing is that the firmware installed correctly, and you can see the update in the BIOS.
