Bios Update for B850-A Gaming Wifi R2

I have a ROG Strix B850-A Gaming Wifi R2 paired with Ryzen 9800x3d and 2x32GB T-Force 6000MHz RAM currently on Bios version 1022. I have not been able to successfully start a bios Update. Each method claims the Bios file is invalid.

I've tried using Bios flashback, Ez Flash 3, and AI Suite. I am putting the CAP at the root of my flash drive. I've tried different drives, FAT32, etc.

Here is the Bios source

https://rog.asus.com/us/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b850-a-gaming-wifi/helpdesk_bios/

I am assuming this is the right board, I have not found an "R2" version on Asus site. Has anyone successfully updated the Bios on this board?

Regards

Hi

I don't know why my first reply is not shown so I'll try again.

There is support only page for the mentioned motherboard - https://www.asus.com/supportonly/rog%20strix%20b850-a%20gaming%20wifi%20r2/helpdesk_bios/

Found it on Asus, but not on ROG.

The BIOS SHA-256s are different for R2 and non-R2 versions so it looks like you should use the BIOS from the link above.

Hi

I haven't found your specific board on ROG, but I've found it on Asus - https://www.asus.com/supportonly/rog%20strix%20b850-a%20gaming%20wifi%20r2/helpdesk_bios/

The BIOS SHA-256s are different for R2 version and non-R2 (on ROG) so I assume you should use BIOS from the link above.

I have the same board and the same issue. I was told by support that the product page for the B850 STRIX-A is the same for the R2 version but I'm not really sure that's the case

Don't know how you found this but grateful that you did.
