BIOS reset bug for ASUS ROG X870-A

Dear forum,
I would like to draw your attention today to a bug that presumably occurs with certain batches.

It concerns the ROG STRIX X870-A GAMING WIFI motherboard.

If the system is de-energized (unplugged) and then switched on again, the BIOS has performed a reset. As if a CMOS reset had been performed.
Even if there is only a short pause of 30 seconds
nden.
If the system is left continuously connected to the mains, this error does not occur.

Affected people report the same problem on reddit, but so far there is no solution from ASUS.

I have the big problem that I even have two motherboards of this type. Both have this error. At the moment ASUS still refuses to open an RMA for it - I hope I don't have to scrap the motherboards. That would be much too bad.

Best wishes

I can relate. I have a X870-A for my wife that has the issue and a X870-F that has the same bios version and everything set the same with no issues.

I even change the CMOS battery and still the issue persists on the X870-A.
