Hello,
I am currently using the ASUS X870E Hero motherboard in combination with a Cooler Master HAF 700 Evo case. I am encountering a persistent issue with the front panel USB Type-C port.
While the port is able to charge my smartphone without any problems, attempting to charge a power bank triggers a “Power surge on the hub port” error in Windows. The issue consistently occurs only with power banks, not with other USB-C devices.
To troubleshoot the problem, I have already:
Despite these efforts, the issue remains unresolved.
Could you please provide guidance on whether this may be related to a hardware limitation, USB power delivery behavior, or a known compatibility issue? Any assistance or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
The technical specifications of the power bank show a maximum of 20V and 1.25A, which corresponds to 25W. That’s almost one-third of what the port provides.
