Asus Strix X870E-E Gaming Wifi ATX AM5 Won't Boot

Jestyrs

Tried 2 PSU's, 2 CPU's, 2 sets of RAM (one 64GB (2x32),  one 16GB (1x16), 2 GPU's.
I tried taking the board off the stands in the case and powering it on while holding it above all contact with the case.

All result in the LED's on the RAM and VRM's turning on, the keyboard comes on.

No fans, No display. No Q-Code Display. Bios 0223 was shipped with the board.

Update BIOS to Version 0606 first.

You can do this with or without CPU, just use the flask back method (This feature only requires the ATX power connector). Press and hold the BIOS Flash Back button on the rear panel for about 3 seconds until the BIOS Flash Back indicator light flashes 3 times.

I also use a USB stick which has a flashing light just for more conformation that it is doing something.

Tested an older PSU (3rd PSU tested.), this got the Q-Code display to turn on, however this PSU while able to power the CPU pins as well as the 24pin, will not support the components and is too low of voltage, so today I went to Best Buy, picked up another 1000w PSU (4th PSU tested.), this one seems to work to show the Q-Code as well, fans are powered too now.

Updated Bios.

New PSU result in the LED's on the RAM and VRM's turning on, the keyboard comes on, fans on, Q-Code Display on.

No display.

Bios update resulted in no change.

Q-Code reads 00. CMOS cleared via I/O button and removed battery.

I managed to fix this issue it turned out to be the CPU cooler mount for my EK basic 360 AIO. I had to loosen all of the CPU mounting screws on my AIO to the point where you could move them with your hands. They would have to be on there and take a couple of turns by hand.

I know very strange, reached out to EK haven't responded to me yet as it still is under warranty. I initially had this cooler on a 10 year old platform X99, I'm guessing something with the mounting is wrong, not surprised as they discontinued the basic AIO 360s line. 🙃

You do know that EK are in a world of ****** at the moment.  Bank accounts blocked, unpaid staff etc.

Yeah thankfully overclockers sell that EK mounting kit which includes the springs and turn screw bolts that I need. It does say in the manual to not tighten them too much and gently turn it with a screwdriver until secure. I jus think the springs might have been gone. Tbf apart from the mounting this is a solid cooler, simple AIO 360mm no special gimmicks.

I just completed my build... and got no boot from this motherboard.

All brand new components

ASUS X870E-E ROG Strix, AMD Ryzen 9 9950X Granite, XFX AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Noctua NH-D15 Black CPU Cooler, PowerSpec 1250W Power Supply, Samsung 990 PRO 2TB Samsung V NAND, Samsung 870 EVO 2TB SSD, TeamGroup T-Create EXPERT 96GB (2 x 48GB) DDR5-6400.... and nothing.. all lights up, fans turn,.. but wont boot

Similar build to mine. What BIOS version do you have? What behaviour is the PC showing when you boot up?
