I have all the components according to the list above.
The problem is that the motherboard very often does not recognize/even detect the graphics card – it behaves as if the slot is empty. Sometimes, the system hangs for a long time without displaying any image and, in such cases, usually switches to the integrated GPU. When this happens, the RTX 4090 is not visible at all in the device list in Windows 11. Interestingly, the issue most frequently occurs during a system reboot. A cold boot after a longer break usually (though not always) works fine, and the card initializes.
From what I have gathered, this is a known issue with this graphics card and Asus motherboards using the X870 and older X670 chipsets. A friend of mine is experiencing the exact same issue with an ROG CROSSHAIR X670E motherboard and an identical Strix 4090 card. This is extremely frustrating, considering we are talking about top-tier hardware from a reputable manufacturer, costing a significant amount of money. These components come from the same Strix series and should work flawlessly, yet there is clearly a compatibility issue preventing the motherboard (or CPU/chipset?) from detecting the GPU.
A similar issue with this same graphics card is demonstrated here: YouTube link. While there are some differences (the motherboard shown is from Asrock), the detection problem appears to be similar. The Strix 4090 causes issues, whereas the Nvidia 4090 FE works correctly.
I should also mention that no PCIe storage drives are connected – only the graphics card is installed, meaning the entire PCIe bandwidth is available for it. Is there possibly a BIOS update for the graphics card that could resolve this issue? I know Nvidia has released some firmware updates, but I never looked into them, as I have owned this card for nearly 1.5 years and never had any problems on my previous Maximus XI platform with an i9-9900KS processor. After switching to a new motherboard, processor, and RAM, these issues started occurring, while the rest of the hardware remains fully functional. This clearly indicates some software-related issue.
Once the system successfully boots up, everything works perfectly, but having to gamble whether the PC will start or not is unacceptable.
I would really appreciate your help – this is a priority issue for me! I have been using Asus motherboards for 25 years, and this is the first time I regret my decision… I am unsure whether the problem lies more with the BIOS of motherboard or the graphics card – but since both are ASUS products, both Strix series, I kindly request your intervention.

Are you on the latest bios and all drivers up to date? Have you updated and drivers? Maybe driver store explorer to verify no outdated drivers still on system? Tried clear cmos in bios? Bios settings at stock to test?

Yes. Also. I made 2.1 update but in fact card had this BIOS installed (I bought RTX4090 in 2023, BIOS is from 2022).
I see you have same GPU. Don't you faced such problems? Do you use PSU 12VHPWR cable or 3/4x pcie with nVidia adapter?

I have zero problems, no black screens etcetera. Im using the Bequiet 12VHPWR cable wich is bought seperatly.
In the BIOS i have set the version manuallly to 4.0 on the pci-e tho, hope this answer helps you.

Had a similar issue after switching boards cold boots were hit or miss. It felt like trying the login of mega personal when the server’s acting up: random success, mostly frustration.
