ASUS Rog Crosshair X870E Hero (rear usb-c ports not working)

I recently got the mobo + 9950X3d. REAR usb-c ports are not working ok or at all!!!!

• Top two ports
  - MX BRIO camera works
  - Kingston DataTraveler Max USB 3.2 Gen 2 1000R/900W USB Stick 512GB DTMAX/512GB, does not get recognized at all!!!
• Bottom two ports
  nothing works on them, seems just dead
• Front panel usb-c port
  both dvices work fine on the front panel usb-c port

MOBO updates installed:

1. BIOS Version 1203 
2. ASUS LEGO IT8857GX V0203 Firmware Update Tool  Version 0203
3. ASM4242：ASMx424X_FWUpdateV40013_u424241022200011AcmAPDV5  Version 40013

UPDATE: figured out I can connect webcam to two bottom ports IF I turn usb connector around and press it in REAL HARD!!!
kingston usb stick also works on all rear ports IF I press it in like a maniac, as soon as i let go it disconnects so not usable at all...(same stick works flawylessly on Z790 HERO rear usb-c port) 

Guess I need to RMA the board or return it via Amazon.de?
